I have my first JV volleyball game and I'm a starting setter. I need to know some tips on getting my head in the game and getting pumped up.

  1. First of all, POSITIVITY is key!! honestly, if you make a mistake, just learn from it and forget about it!!! move on. thats the biggest problem i have.. if i do something stupid, i just keep thinking about it and then im not fully focused on the next play at hand, so i mess up, and get worse!! so seriously, just forget about the past plays, and focus on the NOW.

    also, before the games, listen to some really good pump up songs.. like Stronger by Kanye West, or like Just Dance by Lady GaGa or something.. anything to get you going and wanting to dance, and be happy lol..

    also, my team does little dances and stuff before games to get everyone pumped up.. they're a lot of fun! go to youtube and look up the volleyball ponydance.. it's hilarious and get's my team pumped up and ready to play!!  


  2. stretch everyday also eat healthy and practice  

  3. Just chill and keep your head into it, remember to be aggressive, and know your job, to set the ball for a hit, do it right and your middle will reward your team with a beautiful play!
