How should I mod my Xbox 360's case, faceplate, fan and what not?

Alright, I want to mod my Xbox 360 but not flash it or put a mod chip in. I want to change the case, face plate, fan and everything.

Thing is, I don't know where to start. What I hope to end up with is a black 360, with a yellow ring of light, yellow LED's coming from the fan and a bunch of glass strips on one side of the case with yellow LEDs shining through. As this is the first time I've ever tried something like this, I'm VERY inexperienced.

If you have any advise, links to GOOD guides or if you want to give me some instructions it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Changing the face plate is easy... Buy the desired one and then remove the old one by pulling it forward gently (careful not to break the clips, they are only plastic)



Changing the casing is hard.... There are some good clips on Youtube on how to open a 360. Opening the case voids warranty plus the internal metal case is attached to the plastic outer layer (If you damage this connection of metal and plastic, you risk damaging the connections internally which control the disc drive)

Adding LED's is hard also... You would have to establish a power supply for them as you can not use the 360's power supply. Plus there is nowhere inside the case you can place them.

Yellow Ring of Light may be done, as they are placed in the face plate, but you have to check the wiring... Personally i would not risk it

Fan can not be changed, just add an external intercooler (can change fan if you know what your doing, just an Intercooler is easier)

Remember any mods will void warranty (except face plate change) and if it needs repair microsoft probably won't touch it
