How should I open up and tell my psychologist that ABILIFY (aripiprazole) is not for me and that I need to stop, because the side effects are just to much and I just don’t wanted any more.

  1. You should just go in to your next appointment and express that you are having terrible side effects and you were wondering if there was something else that you could try.  Let him/her know that the side effects are causing you more problems than they are solving.  Your psychologist should not intimidate you, and if he/she does, you may want to consider someone you are more comfortable with.  Also, your psychologist should listen too and understand your concerns.  Many times, these medications need to be gradually decreased to get a patient off of them, so it is possible you may need to do this before trying something else.  I wish you the best of luck.

  2. try telling him about how you feel like after that medicine. describe to him the side-effects and their effect on you. ask him if he doesn't have other medicines you could take instead of that one and maybe he will be wiling to help.

don't do like i did, i couldn't deal with the side effects of zoloft (it made me wake up sleepy and keep sleepy during the day) and i just stopped taking it without telling anything to her. but if otherwise you can't reason with him, then just stop taking the medicine if it makes you worse.

  3. Slowly unzip your pants with a suductive look....then pull out the abilify and tell him that its a piece of sh*t. Well not with those words but just tell him. or write it out on paper so its easier to tell him. he'll understand.

  4. Psychologist are recommenders. Just tell him/her straight up that the medicine is hurting you and that you need to stop.

  5. By tellinh him/her exactly what you just wrote here. You are paying right?

  6. on your next session, ask him if there are other drugs that he could prescribe on you since abilify has so and so effect on you. he'll be glad that you opened up as he doesn't exactly know the effects on other people. as we all know same drugs have different effects depending on bodily reactions.

BTW why are you consulting a psychologist? they are not qualified to  prescribe you any forms of drugs as they are not doctors, Maybe you mean your psychiatrist.
