I am studying abroad this July. I am planning on flying into Rome and spending a couple of days there. I am wondering what is the best things to see and how to get tickets for them. Can I even purchase tickets ahead of time? Is there away to avoid the long lines? Where is the best place to stay in the city? Are there any local resturants/bars that are a must?

I am basically looking for any advice for for traveling to Rome! Thanks!

  1. The Hotel Felice near Termini Station is a good place to stay:

  2. Hello, I'm from Rome! If you're comig here for the first time, I suggest you not to miss the Vatican City and the Vatican Museums, the Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps, Colosseum and all the most important monuments. In my personal opinion you should avoid the Termini area (the railway station) as it's really dangerous, expecially in the evening; if you look for a nice area to stay in, Trastevere and Testaccio are well-known for their restaurants and clubs.

    Good luck!
