  1. Run,run, run and run somemore. You will hate the

mention of the word. But endurance is extremely

important. The player who coasts is out of position.

Dribble and run  until it becomes second nature.

Learn the feel for the ball and don't watch your feet.

You run into things that way. Learn control and ball

trapping skills. Practice kick and shot control with

a friend or the friendly brickwall, they both kick the

ball back and the wall can be your best friend.

It doesn't argue with you and feedback is almost

immediate. When you get on the field park the

Razzle-Dazzle and just be yourself. Most importantly

open your eyes and ears, speak when spoken to

and the Coach is   "God"!  The team are your

"brothers and Sisters" treat them that way, with

love and respect. You do this you will go a long  way.

  2. One thing that defnitely helps is eating right. Make sure you dont eat fatty foods. Things like burgers and anythign heavy on cheese you want to reframe from. Another thing is you want to make sure you are drinking enough water. Makes you feel lighter and well definitely help your endurance.

The most important thing to remember when you are trying out is to not get tired. In roder to do so , your diet is really important.

Try outs usual require a lot of running , there for you will sweat a lot. You want your body to have a lot of liquids stored, in order for you not to get dehydrated. Good Luck

  3. many coaches in my area look for the same things: first touch and control of the ball, speed and endurance, and of course, work ethic and self-confidence. if you show the coaches that you will try as hard as you can and will work for playing time you feel better as a person and when working harder will improve your skills. one drill that's easy but really works on turning and first touch is setting up two cones about 10 yards apart and doing a figure 8 around them as hard and as long as you feel necessary. i usually do it about 10 minutes each day (with two 1 minute breaks) just to keep up my skills. good luck!

  4. My favorite type of practice is doing Kick-Ups.  Which is juggling.  I'm a GK in 3 clubs and I do kick ups almost every single day.  It teaches you great control and it's fun.  Once you get good at it, start trying to use everypart of your body.  If that's not your thing, just find a friend and play with him.  Anything you do will make you better, just don't get any bad habbits.
