What should I take with me for the plane trip, and for when I get over there? How will it be like? What should I expect? Oh mind you, first flight stop is at Amsterdam, then I am leaving Amsterdam three days later and stopping at Tehran,Iran airport. I have never been there and I do not speak Farsi, and I really don't consider myself a tourist neither although I'd like to get familiar with everything and would like to be properly equipped once I reach foot in Iran. Peace.

  1. Stay hydrated & in shape! Don't let your guard down! It's gonna be a culture shock! Crazy Crazy!!!!  Save your money & you will be ballin when you get back! Pray every night & you'll have faith & make it through just fine! Atleast you're not in Iraq!!!!

  2. Dear Kardio11 I need more details about you,for example how old are you, where do you live,or are you going to Iran alone or with your family,or are you going to stay just in Tehran or you want to visit another cities too.

I suggest you to learn Farsi(the more you know Farsi the better you can communicate with people, because you can hardly find someone in street to know English really fluently.

If you are coming to Iran in the summer you should know that the weather is hot in summer in Iran.

And if you are a girl then you should cover your body and hair.

Iranians are really hospitable people, and Iranian home-made foods are really delicious.

Tehran is the capital of Iran and its a really crowded city.

Tehran is really interesting for tourists because it has really old bazaars(like Bazaar Bozorg) at the same time it has very modern and expensive malls like(Milad e Noor).Or there are many museum and historical places in Tehran that you can visit them.

Do you have any relative in Iran? If you have,I suggest you that be with him or with her, because in this way you will feel more comfortable.

Have a nice trip in Iran.*_*

  3. According to Islam rules girls and women should cover their hairs by headscarf and wear a dress that covering their bodies as well.

  4. its gonna be hot in summer. i really dont think u gonna need much preparation, but it wouldnt hurt if u learned some basic sentences so u dont get stuck somewhere that u dont understand them and they dont understand u. if ur going to tehran expect traffic, but if u have relatives there ull have fun

one more thing, dont listen to the first answerer...y would u compare iraq and iran together...is it the name or just cuz they are next to each other (a lot of countries are not like their neighboring countries) so ppl who havent actually been to iran should not give their opinions. peace.
