Question:

How should I present my manuscript?

I'm trying to win one of the many poetry manuscript prizes, but I find that my poems seem to lack certain continuity. I'm wondering if it would be more prudent to separate them into related groups of poems, or attempt to intersperse them evenly throughout the manuscript.

  1. I suppose either you arrange them as they each one came to you , ie. date wise, without bothering about the cohesiveness of the subject , because that is how they really came to you in real life. This will give a real image to life as it actually is.

You may also put them , subject wise ; ie. you make up several groups on a rational basisi and put each poem under the heading of each subject. If that comes naturally , I suppose that also will be perfectly legitimate.

Show them to some one who is aguiding you in your thesis or this collection to be doubly sure.

    Good Luck and great success.
