How should I quit my job?

I've had this job for about 3 months. I just wanted a summer gig but my boss wanted me to stay until November (he said that when he hired me). However, the hours are wildly inconsistent and it's difficult to get specific days off. My boss isn't a nice person but I want to leave on friendly terms so I can get a recommendation when I apply for other jobs in the future.

What would be the best way to explain that I am leaving because I am too busy with other things to available for the hours he wants me to work, yet still keep it on relatively friendly terms?

Two week notice, always give them the notice, so they can find a replacement.

yeah 2 weeks notice is the best way so you can put him on ur list of past jobs. if the job ends violently the will try and **** u with every next job that comes calling
