How should I rearrange my bedroom?

I want my room to look very open. I have a twin bed, a desk, a large dresser w/ a mirror attached, & a sort-of chest. Is there a way that I can rearrange them so it actually looks nice?

Picture this:

Place your twin bed's headboard or head of the bed across one of the corners of the room. Then it will come out into the room from an angle and not against a wall.

Then take your large pieces of furniture and if your wall is long enough place two pieces on one wall and the other pieces on the rest of the wall space.

If you can get some  fake plants that are tall in wicker basket planters they look very cool.  Something green always makes a room feel light and airy. Use light material curtains to the windows to keep the room feeling light....you can always have window shades for privacy installed at the same time  that you  pull down at night or whenever you need them.

Keep down the clutter and have baskets and bins that hold your collections. Keep your room dusted and picked up so at the end of the day you will enjoy having a good night's rest.
