  1. show him a piece of brown paper and a piece of peach paper and ask him to look at his arm... and say which one is closer to your skin tone?

that should work ...unless he is really really light black

  2. Just go with it. Bleach his skin and get him a nose job, maybe set up an interview with Mr. Jackson while you're at it.

  3. Once he gets old enough you can explain to him that he is black. As of now. u might just confuse him.  my daughter is black but looks white... my suggestion would just be to let them be whatever they want.

  4. Explain it to him then. Never heard anything like it..

  5. Explain ethnicity and race with him, show him pictures and what not. Tell him we all are equal and no one race is better than another. We are all different and that is what makes life fun. Variety just like monkeys, cats, birds, etc.

Also, instead of saying, "Black and White", say African American, Caucasian, etc.

  6. You have a couch right?

Sit him down and tell him, "You are black! Get that through you head. Stop acting like someone you're not."

He may cry but he will get over it...

that's what I would do. :) Not really... OK well kind of...

  7. when I was 3 or 4, my little girlfriend thought she was black for a while although she was as white as snow...if your son is under 6, it is normal, but if he is above six, then you should have a serious talk with him..put him in front of a mirror, next to you and ask him what is the difference between your two skin colors, and if he gets it wrong, then you have a serious problem...

  8. Why does it matter?  How old is this kid and why does he even know the difference at his age?  My daughter has no concept of race and she's 5.  We live in an ethnically diverse town as well.
