How should I turn him down?

Yesterday, this guy came over to my house to play pool with my dad. When he had to leave, I walked him out the door but he gave me a note right before he left. When he was gone, I read the note and it said "Do you have a boyfriend? If you don't, do you want to go out?" Then at the bottom it said 'Text me' and it had his phone number.

The problem is I really don't see him as anything more than a friend. I mean, I don't have a boyfriend but I don't want to go out with him either.

He's over at my house right now, downstairs playing pool with my dad again. And it was weird because things were kind of tense and awkward when I was in the car with him. Should I wait 'til he leaves, then text him? What should I say?

How should I turn him down without hurting his feelings?

just tell him u are interested in someone else and ur flattered but u only see him as a friend.. even if its not true just say u like a guy at school or ur friend is trying to find out if ur crush likes u back.. he should get the hint and back off... if he doesnt then tell ur dad

Either way ,by texting or by telling him face to face.Say your flattered but you don't see him that way (just as an acquittance of your father ) .

Just tell him straight up. That you don't see him as nothing more than a friend. And if he can't accept that then so be it. (: Good luck.

You can rarely turn someone down without hurting their feelings, but leading him on, is always worse. So just let him know, that you are not interested in pursuing a relationships now, but in the future you will let him know if and when you are interested. But thank him for the showing such interest in you. Good luck with your choices.

You should totally put him on BLAST in front of your dad and say "about that note you gave me... yes i have a boyfriend so no we cant " THEN JUST WALK AWAY!!!!!!   AND WTF IS UR DADS FRIEND HITTING ON YOU FOR ANYWAYS ??   WELL THATS WHAT I WOULD DO IF I WAS IN YOUR SITUATION

Whatever you do no pity dates that will make you feel bad and him if he found out that it was just pity. I say just tell him that your not interested in him ( but very nicely though)
