  1. My mom used to do this for mine when I was a kid. She would put them in a clean pillow case without close or dress up stuff on. She would run them through the washmachine. If your machine tumbles to wash rather than side to side agitate wash you may want to wrap the head in a soft towel first so it doesn't get dinged up.

Spin dry them "sitting up" as it were. Let them air dry.  Stain removers work on really dirty cloth parts. For the face, try plain old soap and water with a washcloth or a Mr.clean Magic Eraser.

The clothes can be washed normally like you would any other clothes in the wash.  If the diaper part on the dolls is looking worn out and ratty you can buy newborn size to replace them on the dolls.

If the hair has fuzzy pilled up look on it masking tape on your hand will get it off or a battery operated lint remover run over the top gently will remove the fuzz balls from it.

  2. I washed a cabbage patch in the washer with woolite. I didn't dry it. It seems like the hair got a bit fuzzy (it was a long time ago) but it didn't fall apart.

  3. thats what I do! I let them air dry afterwards though
