How should I wear my hair for the first day of 8th grade?

Question

It is light brown with natural blond highlights. It is naturally wavy. The longest part is a little below my shoulders, and there are layers an inch above that all the way around my head. I would like to make my hair look like Hermione's in Harry Potter. With the side part. How should I do that?

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Also, is this a good outfit to wear, or should I pick something else?

A pink flowery skirt

A white fitted blouse

and white lace sandals

If you are trying to go for the Emma Watson hairstyle, I would straighten your hair a bit, and side part it... I like the outfit you have picked out. It seems very nice (though we shall see). And, for your make-up, I would put on a foundation coating... A bit of light pink blush, and maybe some light colored eyeshadow. There you go! Hope this helps! :)

i think the out fit is very cute. the way you should do your hair is straighten it and make sure that you spray some kind of spray to get rid of friz and some shine spray.

After washing your hair, use a rat tail comb to part it to the side. Then comb your hair through. Then spray some wave enhancing spray and gel in your hair and scrunch. And get some sidewept bangs too (:

Edit: For your makeup, just don't overdo it. A lot of girls think caking on eyeliner and foundation 3 shades too dark looks pretty /: I'd go with a tinted moisturizer and some concealer (if you need it). Also, use a black or brown eyeliner to line your upper lashline and 1/3 of your lower lashline. Make sure the line is thin and close as possible to the lashline. Then curl your lashes and apply 2 coats of mascara. Then lip gloss (:

OK, if you want your hair to look really nice for the first day of school, leave it down and brush it. That's it. Your hair's really pretty that way. If you want your hair to look like Hermione's, you're going to have to curl it. When you change the part, either do it right after you get out of the shower, or make sure you spray water on it. It will help it stay and not puff up. I like your outfit a lot. I can't wait to see it!!!!!!!!! You should do just a little bit of light pink make-up. You'll look beautiful!!!!!!!

your outfit sounds kind of preppy (and really cute!), so i would straighten it with a side part and put in a cute matching clip or headband :-)
