The subs are Kicker CVR12 dual 2ohms. The amplifier is a Kenwood KAC-9104D Monoblock, but it has two sets of speaker terminals, how should I do it?

  1. ok. Connect the two voice coils of each driver in series (+ to -) and the drivers themselves in parallel (+ to +, etc.) will result 2ohm, i know your amp work great at 2ohms,  you will get the full capacity of the amp, if you wire the subs in other wayyou  not will get it

  2. Dont worry about the 2 sets of terminals.  They are only for connection convenience.  There is only 1 channel so you can use one of the terminals or you can use both, it wont matter.  Now the question is the Ohm load.  I know that amp is not .5 Ohm stable, so wiring all parallel is not going to work.  Here is your best option.

2 Ohm load - wire from first terminal on amp to first sub. wire both voice coils in series. return to negative on amp.  repeat for second sub with the second set of terminals on the amp.  Both subs wired at 4 ohms gives 2 Ohm total load on amp bc amp sees subs as wired in parallel.
