I'm organizing a graduation dinner at a restaurant. How do I word the inviation properly so the invitees know that they will be paying for their own dinner? This is a small group of family/friends (15 max).

  1. there isnt really a nice way of saying. So just put it out there. This is an example:

    Dinner Plate $15.00

    Reception beins 6:00 pm

    Limit 1 guests per invitation

please RSVP call Suzie at 310-9999-9999

Have fun at the graduation party.

  2. "We're roll'n dutch, so if you're broke - don't come"

  3. I'm assuming that you know that it's not correct to invite people to pay for their own dinner at a party so we won't go into that.

As to how to word it, you can put, at the bottom of the invitation, "Dutch Treat" which is code for "you're paying for what you consume." Otherwise, there really isn't any good way to tell people they have to pay.

    Hope this helps.

  4. please bring your own money

  5. Your invited to a graduation dinner. Don't forget to bring your wallets and purses because if you think I'm paying for this you are sadly mistaken. If anyone forgets these items I hope that you are good at washing dishes.     Direct and to the point. No chance of any misunderstanding. Hope you all have a great time!  Bob
