How should a brand new laptop be brought in an air plane ??

my bro is bringing a laptop from d states to india...so whether d laptop should be brought packed (as it comes already) or be unpacked and brought in a laptop case...

if you want to bring it on board then i would take it out of the original package and place it into a laptop case, it will have to be scanned through the ex-ray machine but no damage will be done to it. if you dont need it on-board then put it in a suit case while still wrapped in its box. the foam around the laptop should keep it safe if you choose to place it under the plane.
