  1. Good baseball coaches are not all cookie cutter people. What makes one guy a good coach is not how another good coach acts.

  3. Respectful of his players and the game. He can't just yell at someone every time the do something wrong or else no improvement will be made. They never lose their temper to players on or off the field and defend them when they feel they are being treated unfairly.

    Sometimes they get real close to players and become huge parts of their lives. We saw this with Terry Franconia becoming a "second father" to Jon Lester while he battled cancer and made his comeback to the game.

    Those are just a few of many things that make a great coach.

  5. should have respect for the game and his player take joe torre as an example he became a 2nd father to derek jeter when he was struggling in his early day but also pushed him to do his best thats a good coach

    a good Major league coach? He should put the players in their place and not let anyone get bigger than the team
