  1. jumping jacks, running around a little to get ur body warmed up. and also stretching.

you can wear tights and a skating dress. or a t-shirt and skating pants

  2. Before your lesson, warm up by stroking around the rink a few times.  When you feel that your muscles are warmer than they were when you got on the ice, stretch by the wall.  Stretch out our legs, spiral positions, back and arms.  Depending on your level and how much time you have, go through a few jumps, spins and crossovers.

Usually I wear tights, a pair of Mondors over them, yoga pants, sweats or shorts, a tank top with a t-shirt over that and a fleece or sweatshirt.  Don't forget your gloves or mittens!

    Have fun!

  3. You should do some strecches...in your legs, back, and arms...so you dont pull a muscle..but make sure these  streches do not make you tired....

You should make sure your hair is out of your face..even if you spin or jump...you should wear tighter clothing..( i.e. tights and a skirt/ dress, tighter pants and t-shirt and sweater) this makes sure the coaches can see your legs..not just your baggy pants...so they can help you improve on stuff.. So..mainly

    1. stretch

    2. hair up

    3. tighter clothing

    oh ya....

    4. Water bottle and kleenex :)

  4. well Mick L what a load of c**p and wasted space you have taken up.

ok down to seriousness, you should always prepare about 15 mins before going on to warm up with a little light jogging, skipping and jumps on the spot and then gentle stretches, always wear stretchy pants no jeans as you wont have much flexibility.

make sure you stretch afterwards to cool the muscles down.

  5. Snuffles said it well. I like to do some jumping jacks to get the heart pumping, some stretching, especially hamstring stretches for me as I have tight hamstrings, then I also stroke around for a couple of laps trying to increase my speed.  If I have the time and room, I'll do some crossovers in a figure 8 then back crossovers in a figure 8.
