  1. since you just got him... let him be for least 2 days and nights. then take him out. as you are getting him out... talk to him. before you totally pick him up touch him a lil and let him know you are there. IF you are scared to hold him i would not even try. they are like dogs they know when you are scared or something.

I just let him rest and then go in there like your a pro. also... make sure you support his whole body when you lift him and make sure not to hold too tightly.

  2. give your snake a week to get used to its new home then feed it (in a separate container and put it up about 20 minutes after it eats).  start handling it about 24 hours after it has eaten.  pick it up the way tin tin m said too.

  3. It probably won't plus it wouldn't hurt. Just slowly wrap your hands around it and pick it up. make sure it can see you though.

  4. just do it camly if it was born in captivity it will not harm u just dont squish its head

  5. I would try using some thick gloves and then as u get more comfortable take them off so u can get used to the feel of your snake

  6. NO GUTS NO GLORY! i'd be more worried about it strangling your neck are arm, cutting off circulation than a bite...

I'm no snake expert so i hope you deal with it accordingly. And careful of some other answers here as well.

  7. if it was raised in captivity then it should be safe to handle but get you thumb and for finger by th back of it jaws and grab but not to tight , if u squees to hadr u will hurt ur new snake but if u get it there then it wont beable to bite u so u can hold it and not harm ur self or the snake. After u get the head from being able to move then all u have to do is suport the rest of the body sence the snake isnt that big u should be fine.   Good luck.

  8. i find it helpful to stroke the snake first so you dont scare it. when you pick it up, hold the center of its body so it feels secure. if it hisses, dont freak out. just continue to pick it up. it shouldnt bite or strike. just be slow

  9. touch it on its side so that it knows that you are there and them pick it up gently around its mid section. don't to wash your hands before pick her up and again after you have held her.
