How should i break the news to my daughter after she recovers from amnesia after her horrific accident?

My 16 year old daughter was in a car accident where she was the driver and her best friend was the passenger well one night day were driving and it was raining and the car hydroplanned and hit a gaurdrail and tree and instantly killed the passenger which was her friend but left the driver my daughter with a broken leg and broken neck so how do help her when she comes home from the hospital when will it be time for her to come back to school will it be good for her to go back to school and when will it be good for me to buy her another car if anyone has answers to my questions let me kno and no the police said she wasnt at fault wet road conditions were the fault so ow should i deal with my daughter when she comes home will she be emotionally different

  1. Yes she's going to be distraught and you have to let her work some of it out on her own.  If she's showing too many signs of trouble, get her some help.  Some kids will just bottle it inside until it eats them alive and some will start to act out from the guilt (especially if the friend was hurt).  Yes, it would be good for her to go back to school - normalcy is what she'll need in the coming months.  Try to spare her the gory details as much as possible, though.


  2. Lot's and lots of therapy. Get her good councelling and just take it one day at a time

  3. That would be an awlful idea cause then she would be afraid of being in cars.
