  1. Earth tones with baby blue would be very sophisticated and modern.  You could do your playboy theme with black, using super lux fabrics like satins, velvets and faux fur.  Kinda kitchy but your only young once!

check out this blog post on college apartment decorating.  It is not specific to color but it definitely will give you some good ideas on decorating on a budget and unique ideas.

  3. i think add some pink and white elements may give you clean and fresh fell in the room.

some fresh room pictures you can refer:

    and girl's room pictures:

    good luck!

  4. I'm thinking your a female, that's off to school for the first time and wants to present herself as a playboy bunny. Not sure that would go over well with your parents, and I'm thinking perhaps it would be a lifestyle you may not want to enter - a name for yourself that doesn't necessarily mean "serious colloege student". There is too much crazy stuff out there and a dgree is what you're going for while at college. Sorry - all I can say is "Make a good choice". - LT

  5. A few ideas:

    1. You can always repaint the walls and change them back before you move out.

    2. Put up contact paper that can be peeled off easily before you move out. Contact paper doesn't leave any gluey residue, so it would be okay. And you'd be taping posters onto that, so it wouldn't damage the walls. But the colors and patterns are limited in stores. Here's an online store with some choices. I like the silver circles on this page. http://www.designyourwall.com/store/Meta...

    3. You can cover every inch of the walls with your girlie posters so the paint doesn't show at all and use any colors you want on the rest of the room.

    4. Use neon blue or turquoise or denim or dark blue for your sheets and covers. Or blue camoflage pattern.
