How should i decorate this room

Question

i don't know what to call this room. but im going to have a free room in my house. im gonna have a treadmill, a computer table with a desktop computer, a futon, and a tv (it's at least 50" but it's one of those old, bulky ones), in there. how should i decorate it to make it look comfy? the walls are white-ish and the floor is light hardwood.

btw, what is this kind of room called?

I would call it a rec room...paint the walls a color...maybe a blue...and white trim?   Hard to say w/o seeing your furniture....ph, sorry....just read your comment about not painting...maybe get some unifying theme going and go with that with the decor...for example...retro?  Get some neat vintage tin signs from the hobby craft store....I did my kids' game room in a clock theme....i have "GAME TIME" in the wooden letters on a shelf on the wall...and on the rest of the wall I have various kinds of clocks hanging....

It's called "a bonus room", and you are lucky to have one.  Don't put too much into the decorations, as what you have in the room will overpower them anyway.  You have large pieces of equipment in the room, and any knick-knack is going to look silly.  Go for the basics- match a rug and curtains to the colors in the futon.  Don't get too small of a rug, so it looks like you cheaped-out.  Match a desk for the computer with the stand for the TV by getting the same type of furniture for both.  Maybe wood would work well if the futon has wood arms on it.  You could get some artwork for above the futon if you wish.
