Suck it up.  Until you're out of the house and paying your own bills that's what a responsible parent should do.  Privacy is for adults.

i hate when my parents snoop around on my computer also unless they are using it for something that they need and they are using their on screen name. whenever i leave my computer on i alway lock the keyboard and mouse so they cant use it without the password. if they bought the computer than you really can't do anything about it. i got my computer from my real dad who doesnt live with me so i get to say who uses it or not

Lock the computer with a password they will not be able to guess, or a random sequence of letters and numbers- lock it every time you leave. Use an anagram if you'd find it hard to remember.

Delete your history every time you finish on the internet and make sure msn messenger- if you have it- is set to not save any chat logs.

On documents you do not want to be found, right click, go to properties and change the attributes to 'hidden'. This will hide it from view in the folder. I also change the microsoft word file menu so that it does not display the last four viewed documents.

^^In case anybody was wondering, I know that my stepdad (not even my parent ¬.¬) goes through my computer, thinking that I don't know, and while I don't go on anything more 'risqué' than myspace, I think it's an invasion of privacy for someone to look at everything I'm doing. I also sometimes write stories or save amusing chat logs and don't want them to be read, so don't assume that everyone who wants to hide things on their computer is a sneaky p**n fiend, please!
