hey heyy. :D

so uhm, i just got my hair dyed a bright red and black but it didn't come out right. sections of my hair, that i previously had a very light blonde, came out a kinda nasty (in my opinion) reddish pink color. this confused me because i had been told, to get a bright red to show up it needs to go onto a bright color like blonde. my hair dresser didn't "fill" my hair so i guess that could have been the problem, but now im just trying to fix it without it costing me a lot of money. i was thinking dying it with manic panic. so! my question is, what should i use to fix the problem, should i go with manic panic? if so, which color and are there any special things i should do to get it to turn out right. thanks. :]

  1. stick your head in the fires of h**l

  2. i was thinking of dying a strip of my hair bright red too like hayley williams hah.. anyway go ahead and use manic panic! ive dyed and used it many times and its rad! if you want a really bright red just buy the darkest red you can find like almost black.. with a few washes it will turn perfect! u can also ask the lasy or guy at hot topic or wherever your gonna buy the dye how it turns out. the chick i always ask always gives me loads of details

  3. If you use Manic Panic go for Pillar Box Red, it's a great color. Although I prefer Special Effects, they have some awesome red shades like Nuclear Red which is almost fluorescent :) Although if you want red hair and you don't have much money, you can always use food coloring, just get a bottle of it and mix it with some conditioner and leave it on your hair for a few hours, it works a treat.

And a tip to make the dye work better is to apply heat to it for a while, like with a hairdryer or whatever. Oh, and leave it in overnight if possible, but make sure to wrap your hair up in something if you do that unless you want dyed pillows too :D

  4. I have medium brown hair.  When I was a kid I dyed my hair with "black cherry" flavor Kool-aid and it ended up bright red.  BRIGHT RED.  It stayed till I grew it out and cut it.  This was not the desired effect for me, but if it is for you I'd say you should give it a try.  If it doesn't work, you're only out the cost of a Kool-aid packet.  Oh, be sure to use the unsweetened kind.
