I would let them out in a confines area such as a pen or if you don't have that try a bathroom. Open the door to their cage and let them come out on their own. All you have to do is sit on the ground somewhere and have a little patience. Take some celery or other gunea pig veggie. Let them explore and eventually they will come to investigate you. Don't move just let them sniff u and then you can offer them the veggie. This will help them to understand not to be afraid of u and they will associate you with food and glady come running to you. You might have to do it a couple times, but they are pretty smart adn will catch on fast

Guinea pigs are naturally prey animals and are very timid, especially if they were recently adopted. Sit near their cage and speak softly to them so they get used to your presence, voice, and scent. If they take an interest to you allow them to sniff your hand. Try holding out a baby carrot for them and if you wait they will eventually try to take it from you. The biggest thing with guinea pig is a lot of patience. You may need to wait 20 minutes near the cage for them to brave coming up and getting the carrot the first time! Hold them for short intervals, no more than 5 minutes at first, and gradually hold them for longer periods of time. While holding them feed them a piece of lettuce or something from your hands. Good luck, it's all rewarding in the end!

I found when I first got my two guinea pigs that just sitting and holding them for a long period of time eventually made them trust me. It also helps to speak softly, or if they make any squeaking or squealing noises to softly imitate them. Good luck!

They always are hungry for Timothy Hay, so hand feed them sometimes.  Play with them , but remember, they're tiny, so you cant treat them like a dog.
