  1. There is a product you can get at petsmart called "mosquito dunks". You just drop it into the pond and it kills the larvae. I am assuming this is a relatively small pond i.e. smaller than a pool.

  2. In my county, the vector control provides free guppies to put in the pond. They eat all the mosquito larva. It takes a week or so to get them all out, and they will keep mosquito's out of the pond, as guppies will breed in the pond until the water turns cold in the fall. Then the guppies die.

If your county's vector control doesn't offer free guppies, check with the pet store, they sell plain guppies as food fish for larger fish for about 10 cents each.

  3. If there's fish in the pond, the fish will eat some of them anyway. If it's a wildlife pond, frogs and newts will eat them. Generally, mosquitos like still water to lay their eggs, so installing a water feature to agitate the water would tend to make them look elsewhere to lay their eggs.

  4. add a little info please-in pond-water garden- pots ?
