How should i go about being a surrogate mother, i meet all the requirements, but do i need a lawyer?

how do you find someone to surrogate for? is it better to do something like this locally? i personally want to get to know these potential parents, so that i could determine for myself... if i think they should even be parents... because i dont feel like everybody should... i see people everyday, and wonder... why did they even have children. is this an option?

You would probably want to contact some hospitals around the area and tell them that you would be willing to be a surrogate.  To be honest-you might not want to be the judge on who will be good parents and who will be bad ones.  It would be very hard to tell with only a few meeting and the people that want a baby will act very nurturing anyway even if they would be bad parents.  Once you are carrying the baby and you notice them doing things that you don't think is very good, you can't really undo anything.  If people are able to afford having a surrogate, then at least the parents are financially secure.  I don't think you would need a lawyer since it will not really be your child-generally you will be implanted with a few already fertilized eggs.  So you would only be the carrier.

If I were you, I'd join an agency.  The law is there to protect you and the intended parents.  If you're in an agency there is screening to make sure you are physically and mentally fit, as well as the parents being mentally fit to raise a baby.

Are you doing it for money or just to help someone?  I have had 2 children one lived 17 hours and the other I delivered dead a few months ago..  I have always wanted children since I was in HS.  I know about the people you are talking about and they seem to have no problems having children!  But the people who would be great parents have trouble and they deserve the children..  I want a child but have spent so much money getting the 2 that are in heaven that I just want to spend the rest of our money on the baby who can be here with me PLUS the doctors have advised us not to have anymore because the outcome could be worse...  What could be worse then what happened...  Not having a little baby..  I want a baby so badly it hurts so much.  I am a good person!~
