  1. Just like any other stick, and an excellent choice by the way. I tried one of those a couple years ago (Modano pattern) and found it better-balanced than on the Synergy.

  2. grip it at the top with tape

it doesn't matter about the sticky paint

  3. I like the guy above me his answer was the best it's just what i was thinking so ditto

  4. That's what she said.

  5. you should grip it the same way you did before. The sticky paint really only effects the ability to slide your hand easily up and down the shaft. As you get used to the stick paint you'll forget all about it.

  6. I use the Bauer Vapor x*x Lite, which also has grip paint, and I just put a round of tape at the top to keep my hand from slipping off the end.

Also, be aware that sticky paint does come off, as it is just paint, it rubs away from friction with the leather-palmed hockey gloves. So, once it starts to wear off, you can grip the main part of the stick with a single wrap of tape candy caning down the center.

  7. weild the stick like a club!

  8. Same way you grip any other hockey stick. The sticky paint- something I personally can't stand- is there to help keep the stick in your hands while playing, and to help you pick it up off the ice if you drop it.

It keeps your hand in place on the stick, that's all, just so you don't' have to clench the stick as much. Screws up stick handling though.
