How should i kill centipedes in an appartment?

me and my mom just moved into a new appartment a few days ago and i saw 2 of them today and 1 last night and i dont want to sleep til their dead...bugs scare me...anyone know any ways to get rid of them???

Apartments are tough to treat unless you treat the whole building.

The best thing for you to do is to do these steps:

1. Check the weatherstripping at your front door from the inside. If you can see light coming in from outside, you need to repair it or replace it.

2. If one side of your apartment isn't attached, and you're on the bottom floor, use caulk to seal any holes you find there. Pipe penetrations can have a huge gap around them. DO NOT SEAL THE J-TRIM (the metal strip at the bottom of stucco is supposed to have holes in it).

3. Get a pack of sticky mouse traps. Choose the kind that fold-up like a tent. This will help prevent you from damaging things with the glue. When the trap is full, toss it.

If you feel the need, treat with a residual insecticide labeled for centipedes (if it is an aerosol or doesn't say it kills centipedes, don't use it).
