ok here's the thing, a few months back a new girl started working at my place, I'm quite a quiet person really and so is she, in fact we have barely said a word to each other even though i see her everyday and work in the same room... so i know how this might sound.. but i really cant stop thinking about her, i know its not love at this point, but i do really really like her and that's without even having said a word to each other! perhaps after talking to her i might think otherwise! :p everytime i see her she is most likely looking back at me, or sometimes i catch her looking around the room and she stops when she sees me, don't know if this means anything. It just seems as if everyday i see her the more feelings i get about her and the harder it becomes for me to talk to her, i don't know how to approach her, any ideas? shes really quite shy so maybe approaching her may not be the best of things to do, how can i let her know i like her, but in a way that wont embarrass her?

  1. If you ask her out right away, she might be freaked out.

I'm shy too, and I would NOT approach a guy, but I wouldn't mind if they approach me.  She might be the same way.

Next time you work with her just say hey how old are you? (if you don't know) or hey what school do you go to?  stuff like that.

then you might start a conversation.

After you guys talk say "hey we should go to the mall sometime and hang out."

    If she says ok.

then ask her for her number so you guys can plan it.

  2. this sounds exactly like how things started off between this guy at my work and me. it was like 2 months before I had the courage to start saying "hi how r u" and then he took the next step by going into the kitchen when he'd see me going to get a coffee etc...

I really really like him but im soooo shy and even tho we now occasionally email each other and have our "small talk chats" we are still only just friends... but who knows what the future holds!

just start off by saying "Hi.....(insert her name) how r u?" not everytime you see her, but maybe just once a day. See how she responds to that and then take things from there. Eventually, you might become good friends and be able to sit with her or take breaks with her etc and then when the timing seems right just say something along the lines of.....

"i think you're an awesome girl... your really cool. Maybe we could catch up outside of work sometime for a coffee or something"

    good luck

  3. my ex just left me for the shy hot chik at work

what he did was get his mates to talk to her for him

worked for him, there now dating happily and she has just moved in to his place

3 days after i moved out

    so thats my story

  4. Don't even tell her you like her. Break the ice with her first about something from work, like "Man, I can't wait to get out of here." Even if you sound awkward trying to do it, the point is that you broke the ice and you didn't lose. You can't start a relationship without making the first step towards it.

  5. you know, surprisingly i have the same problem as you except im the girl in this case. so maybe we can sort of help each other out. it so happens to be this guy at work. i know he is interested in me  as he always mentions this to his friends when im  around ( lol, he thinks i cant hear it lol.  il leave him to think i cant. lol )and i really like him.  only problem is he is just toooo shy to approach me. i just wish he would but he gets cold feet. maybe hes scared of me, i dont know. really want him to approach me thou :(  so on a girls perspective, id say, wait for a time when shes alone with noone around, and approach her. that way she wont be embarassed by your approach as noone has seen her and talk to her one to one. the embarassment derieves from the presence of others. trust me i would know. if she says no, then you know and that doesnt embarass you and if she says yes. good for both of you. good luck
