How should i look after my plaited money plant?

Question

How often should I water it. Does it need to be feed with plant feed? can I keep it out on my balcony (I'm in wales)? Does it need anything else. it's is getting brown spots. I only have it a few weeks and have been keeping it out side.

Also, how do I look after lavender plants? same q's as above really.

I am really bad with plants and need a dummies guide really.

My father in law reckons his money plant is 50 yrs old, he lets it dry out then waters it with cold tea, it looks brilliant. I've got a cutting which doing OK. I keep it on the dry side, feed if weak liquid fertilizer in spring and fall. It's a succulent and can draw moisture from its fleshy leaves.
