An Apex tip will add some extra range but the increased range will cause the paintball to be less accurate and more likely to bounce.

Accuracy comes from a good paintball to barrel match to where the paintball can be easily blown out of the barrel but not roll out or get stuck.

A Palmers Brass Barrel has a unique bore that will fit and accurately shoot differently sized paintballs.  You can also add the Apex tip to the Palmers Brass Barrel.

(not longer that 16", porting not needed, .690 bore)

Any barrel longer than 16" is just for looks and harder to maneuver with.  A longer barrel does not mean a longer range.

A bigger Co2 tank won't increase the range, just increase the number of shots you get before a refill.

  2. Well, if your more of a long shot sniper i suggest a longer barrel here check this out( http://www.paintball-online.com/paintbal... )its a nice 21 inch

  3. When I used to paintball, they used to call me the sniper because I had a 16 inch barrel on the front of my gun. It helped, but sometimes it is hard to run with because it makes your gun so long.

  4. The easiest thing to do to help with accuracy and distance is buying a longer barrel but on the downside it makes it harder to run with and do different things.

  5. There is no such thing as a sniper in paintball. There are three different positions in paintball. Front, for the faster guys with fast guns, Mid, to mainly provide cover fire for the front players to advance and relay info from front to back or vice versa, and Rear, to call out enemy position and to cover the left and right flank and to watch out for the enemy coming up from behind. Any barrel longer than a 14in. barrel is too long. After the first 10 to 12in. of the barrel, it just puts more drag on the paintball.

  6. No barrel will help your marker shoot farther.  That is a myth. When a paintball leaves any barrel at 300FPS (the max most fields allow) it will travel the same distance.  A longer barrel can help with accuracy.  Or if the barrel is well ported, it can help quite the marker.  I run both a 12 in and a 16in barrel on my markers and am looking at the 23 in.  For me, the longer barrel allows me to snipe through under brush without exposing myself. My preferred barrel type is Stiffi.  Go to www.stiffibarrel.com to see all that they have.
