How should i organize a tree planting event in my comunity?

i want to plant a bunch of trees at a park or something and i went to www.treemusketeers.org and i have to buy something to find out how!!!

so could you please tell me in deatailed steps how to organize one (you could even give me the instructions that is on the tree musketerrs thing if you have one)

Gather a few of your friends together and have a brainstorming session.  See if as a group you can come up with at least 5 really doable ideas.  Keep it simple to start off with.  Talk to your parents and see if you can get them involved also.  Then, develop a step-by-step plan to achieve your goals, and tie the goals to calendar dates.  Ask different members of the group to volunteer for executing different tasks.

First, I would go and talk to the mayor of your city, requesting land to plant the trees on.  Then, make flyers advertising this event and hang them around town, telling people to bring at least one tree.  Buy a few yourself, and then get started planting!

That kind of info should be free. If you live in a large city call the city planner's office and ask if there is someone in charge of street trees. They might be able to point you to a place that needs plantings and give you trees for free or for a discount. If you are affiliated with something like a school, church, scouts, you may have an easier time of it.
