  1. You're best bet is to use binders, sorry. But I'm always really organized with mine, so here's what I do...

Depending on what type of class it is, determine what size you'll need. Like, if it's a core class such as english or math, you'll probably need 1.5 inch. if it's an elective, .5 to 1 inch will work.

Then get dividers for each binder. Write on the divider tabs: Notes, Classwork, Homework, Tests, Quizzes, and Other. In the front, but your sheets of paper. There are flaps to put loose papers in, too.

It's really fun if you find old magazines and cut out stuff you like to put on a sheet of colored paper to slip into the clear front of your binders. You can write the class name on it, your name, and pick out personal pictures or magazine clippings to be artsy. Hope this helps! :)

  2. idk about you,

but to me, binders work really well

    buy DIVIDERS for your binder

it will really make you organize

    6 dividers for 6 classes

buy the ones that have pockets in them

so you can put your notes in the pockets

    :)

  3. yes it will really pay off

  4. I hated binders! they just got in the way. I personally dont think you should use one. What i usually do is get one folder for every class and i get them in different colors so i can just pull the right one out of my locker. They worked really well for me. I would get some notebooks for extra paper. pens or pencils because teachers wont like it if you dont bring one to class. erasers for any mistakes, highlighters, a calculator etc.

    Good Luck

    =]

Hope this is worth ten points!

  5. Get the plastic folders.  Get a different color for each class and a 1 subject notebook to match.  OR  get a plastic accordian file and label the tabs for all your classes and still get a 1 subject notebook for each class.

The key is matching up the folder and notebook with your textbooks and keeping everything in order & together.  Also be sure to always carry your planner/agenda so you can write down assignments - trust me - you will not be able to remember later.

    Good Luck!

  6. Arrange them by periods -- 1st, 2nd so forth.

  7. I had two small binders (1 inch, 2 inch? maybe 1.5 inch) that were (in my opinion) really cool. These were for my 5 classes, not including Art or Poetry or any of those Electives (that's what my school did). Really, folders wouldn't work that well. You want different sections per binder, so you could get a few of those tab dividers. BINDER #1: English, History, Math.... BINDER #2: Science, Spanish....really it's up to you, but you'll also want some binder paper at the ready. Remember, it's not a crime to change ideas at any point during the year...maybe in January you'll really you just want a plain old 3 inch binder for all your classes. Maybe you could even try out folders if you want. It's a long nine months...don't be afraid to experiemnt. Good luck!

  8. You should try carrying 6 individual binders for each of your classes. That is what i do. They are only like five dollars for a pack of three at Fred Meyers. Also, if you have a locker, you can put all of them in there, and only carry around the one you need. You also could carry  book bag. (To hold a pencil pouch, planner...(cellphone...)

If that is not an option, you should carry one giant binder that you can find at office depot. They are only about 10 dollars for one. They have enough space for all six classes and a space for pencils and drawing utensils. IF THAT DOESNT WORK!!!! then just carry a small backpack with you and have a binder in there marked "multi-purpose" that should do it=)

  9. Ooh, I have the perfect thing for you - the Five Star Flex!

They are the size of a one subject notebook, but are actually binders, and can hold as much as a 1'' binder. They have tabs in them already, with places for notecards and graph paper. They are lightweight and flexible, so it cuts down and makes those six binders into like, 3 weightwise.

They're $10 a binder, so if you don't have $60 dollars to spend on binders, you can get 2 or 3 to cut down on it.
