  1. You can go to

    http://www.all-about-scholarship.com

    it's about scholarships information.

    Good luck

  2. Get your parents' tax information and fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  They will send you back a Student Aid Report (SAR) telling you what grants and loans you are eligible for.

You will probably be eligible for a PELL grant (you don't have to pay it back) as well as other state grants that may be available to you.  In Pennsylvania, it's a PHEAA grant.  As far as loans go, you will be eligible for about a $7000 Stafford Loan for your first year, and the amount goes up every year after that.  The amount is divided in half to help pay for both semesters.  You an even have it divided up further if you want to go to school all year.  This is done through your school's financial aid office.  Unlike grants, with loans, you have to pay them back.  Since your parents don't have a lot of money, you probably won't be able to get the Parents PLUS loan, but there are alternatives to that for students in your situation.

Another thing to look for is grants that the school you want to go to may have.  I know at Penn State there are grants given to low-income students, as well as scholarships.  And, look into the Work-Study program.  It's a form of financial aid where you work in the library, dining hall, etc. to earn money while you're in school.  If you opt for a job in the library, or computer labs or something, it's a great opportunity to get paid while doing your homework!

  3. Federal grants and loans exist just for this purpose!!

    Apply at www.fafsa.ed.gov

  4. scholarship- work hard. a lot of colleges offer scholarships to people in your situation even if they don't have the BEST grades.

  5. this strange thing called Work.

visit ur local community college for a career counseling so u can figure out what u want to be when u grow up.

visit library and READ about successful people who were Amazingly poor b4 success and repeat what they learned.

where u are at and who u came from is no excuse for not being successful.

most community colleges have two year cash programs that will get u a good paying job and the credits transfer to state colleges.
