  1. If Its Only Going To Be You Four, Then There Wouldn't Really Be Much To Do.

If You & Your MOH Both Bought Nice Simple Dresses & The Groom & BM Wear A Nice Pair Of Pants & Shirt & Do Down To The Courthouse Or Try To Find A Cheap Celebrant To Marry You In A Park Or At The Beach Or Something.

Then After Go Out To A Nice Dinner & Have A Few Drinks Together.

    Good Luck & Congrats.

    =)

  2. That's exactly how my wedding was organized. We contacted a Justice of the Peace and he came to our ceremony site for a small fee (was $100 in 1998). For both the ceremony and reception, we chose a big hotel. The hotel decorated one of their conference rooms for us (with white flowers and ribbons) and they also decorated a very nice room for the lunch reception. (We chose one dish to be served to all guests, in addition to a vegetarian choice, and also wine and soft drinks.) I chose the cake from an ad (a lovely bakery in Atlanta) and the bouquet was cream-colored roses with a cream-white ribbon. Very easy, stylish, and reasonably priced. I wore a 2-piece suit and a little pillbox hat, my husband wore an elegant suit and tie. About the guest list--we had only immediate family and a couple of close friends--a total of 12 people, and everyone had a great time. No DJ, we had our own CD player.

Good luck to you and all the best!

  3. Personally, I would go for something very simple.  Are you getting married at the courthouse?  If so, you can wear anything you wish.  I would consider getting a long formal dress in white or ivory to wear, and the bridesmaid can select a dress for herself.  She may already have something on hand, if not, she can find something she likes and is somewhat dressy.  Red is good as it could be used as a Christmas dress later.  Select your dresses, then have the groom and the best man wear khakis, ivory, dress shirts, with ties that match the maid of honor's dress.  Then, I would have the bride and the MOH carry something very simple.  Perhaps going to a grocery store and getting an inexpensive bouquet, gather a couple of the roses, some greenery and a little more, if you wish, then tie it with some pretty ribbon.  For the MOH, just tie ribbon around a rose or another flower.

  4. You could have a beautiful wedding in a living room in front of a fireplace.

If it isn't too cold a park wedding always works.

An amusement park on the merry-go-round would be fun.

You could marry on a ferryboat

Some smaller towns have granges and community bldgs.

    There's the court house.

A church would probably let you marry in their foyer or somewhere in the church if the ceremony was brief.

Choose a simple wedding dress, a formal or even a suit. Ask your MOH to dress in a similar style.

Select some nice bouquets and a lapel  flower for the guys.

Since its fall you could even have rust, gold etc. fall colors and carry chrysanthimums from a friend's garden.

Bring a song of your choice to play on CD player.

    I hope these help

  5. That was all I had in my wedding and it was beautiful. Oh, I had the flower girl and ring bearer to add a little more to the ceremony. I had cd playing while guest arrived, I had the cd play a song while my maid of honor walked down, then the best man and childre, then I came down. I had other people that played the Cd wear the color theme of my wedding which was deep red. I had someone read the verse in the bible on Love, she stood up and had a fancy cardboard that I decorated myself and it was large trimmed in lace, she read it before ceremony. I had someone at the door seating people, they too wore black suit which they already had. I bout single roses for help shirts and that Identified them. I did however have a reception for 150 which included hall, food and decorations with cake. Nake your own favors(I made memorobale cd and put covers on them) and a candy bag. i had the theme of roses so I sprinkled rose petals on each table and had a single rose in a glass vase with silf fabric wrapped around the rose. It was simple and beautiful for a small weddinga nd budget

  6. You've already made the BEST decision if it's going to be a small wedding - keeping the bridal party small! I seriously think it was the best choice I ever made when I decided to just have one other female (my MOH) in the bridal party. You're going to save yourself a million headaches!

Get your location NOW. Pick an off-day to save money, like a weekday. Avoid Halloween-ish because that can also be expensive. If you can push it to early November, you might even be better off. Or, ask for a last-minute discount. ;) Pick a place that's naturally beautiful so you don't have to decorate a lot.

You'll save money if you know what you want. Go buy the bridal magazines and start ripping out pictures. My flowers and cake were SO easy because I took a picture from a magazine and showed the florist. I told her, "Hey, I like the color and texture, just use local flowers so it's cheaper." Keep the cake simple by incorporating flowers from your bouquet - ties it together and it's cheap! I used King Soopers, and it was awesome.

For your dress, go off-the-rack, or consider something that isn't necessarily bridal. If the men wear suits instead of tuxes (you can still rent them, by the way), that can push the whole feel more casual and therefore cheaper.

Keep the reception more casual. If you do a morning wedding and just light food after, that's cheaper than an evening wedding where people expect more alcohol choices and food. Keep everything light and airy. Maybe pick three or four really specific things to be served and leave it at that. More choices usually means more money.

Pick one or two things that are really important to you and spend the money there. Photos and music were just wildly important to me and my husband, so most of our budget went there.

    Congratulations! Good luck. :)
