  1. If they wanted you to prepare, they would have likely assigned something. For the Econ, I would read all current events about the present economic situation. It will get your mind focused on that subject. You can also go to the bookstore and look over AP Prep/Review books and see if there is one that you feel to be helpful. Look at the early part of the book and see if there are any tips for things to do before you take the class.

  2. i read those ap prep books to get the basic understanding of the course

    like this

    http://www.amazon.com/Barrons-Chemistry-...

  3. if its AP lit, then i recommend reading A LOT. choose  classic novels/works. go outside the class and read, it helped me so much for the essay.

i.e.: The Great Gatsby, Grapes of Wrath, Pride and Prejudice, Catch-22, Hamlet, Wuthering Heights.  Some of these were God awful to get through (wuthering heights) but theyre so varied that you will def. have something to use on the test.  Catch-22 is a great novel, i highly recommend it.

the essay this year was on foil characters.  i could have used Hamlet, The Great Gatsby, Wuthering Heights, Pride and Prejudice...

Im taking AP Chem this year too :( im kinda scared for that one...

  4. You'll be fine; they'll teach you everything you need to know in the classes.  I commend you for wanting to make use of your time, though.

If you want to get a head start, I would recommend going to the local library and taking a look at their test prep books or [blank] for Dummies books (not that you're a dummy; that's just what they call the books; I use them myself) in the respective subjects.  CliffsNotes and SparkNotes are also useful.  If you're willing to shell out some money for your own copy, I'm sure that you could get some at your local bookstore or online at www.amazon.com or any bookstore's website.
