  1. Introduce by saying something about fossil fuels and how their supply is declining

Just research some of the points below for the main body:

    The science of nuclear energy

The supply of fossil fuels is declining rapidly.

Fossil fuels provide most of our power.

Fossil fuels, when burned, pollute our atmosphere

    Nuclear energy is clean

To inform people of the risks of nuclear energy, be sure to look up details on the Chernobyl accident and what happened.

To conclude, acknowledge the risks of nuclear energy and why fossil fuels are bad for humanity.

Here are some sites with good information:

  2. It's cheap and doesn't pollute.  That pretty much sums up your argument.  Expound at length on how bad burning stuff is for the environment and people's health (not to mention the political, economic, and security problems inherent in being dependent on fuel imports).

The task for the pro-nuclear side isn't so much to promote the merits of nuclear power, which are self-evident, as it is to refute the myriad of (mostly ill-founded) arguements that can be made against it--it causes cancer, we can't deal with the waste, we could have an accident, it's a security risk, it kills puppies, etc.
