  1. Take 5 min. breaks every hour to keep your self awake and refreshed. If it's just one exam you're studying, take it in sections. Like say you have three days to study, divide the number pages of notes, or whatever that you have to study by three and study each amount of pages required daily in order to finish studying on time. Then you won't have to worry if you've studied enough or not. Also reviewing what you've studied the day before is a must, or else you'll forget everything you've studied.

  2. write notes from what you're revising. use different coloured pens or different colours in text if on the computer. it makes it more interesting with different colours.

  3. study in a quiet room where there are no distraction, tv, computer, etc. revise key points. there is no point in trying to learn off paragraphs of writing. highlights the key points of the paragraph, memorise the key points but just read the other bits, you should then remember the rest. you should take a break after every few minutes. personally, i take a 10 minute break after every 40 minutes of studying. spread out and organise your study. it's hopeless trying to cram in all the study the night before the exam. when you are finished studying test yourself. you can either do a few questions in the  exam papers on the topics you have just studied or you can write down questions that would more than likely be asked in an exam.

anyway, hope this helps you. good look with your exams.

  4. Read the terms, the chapter summaries, and Power Point notes.  Read the first sentence of every paragraph of each chapter.

  5. If it's an exam where the things you're learning are methods and procedure (eg math, chem) and not facts,  then time your studying to give yourself the night before the exam off.
