How should i tell my mom that i wanna start wearing makeup?

My friend is asking me to ask this on Yahoo Answers. Shes not allowed to wear makeup, so shes asking how can i tell my mom that i wanna wear some makeup.

Just say youd like to try out a different look, by lighting up your eyes so they stand out more. Or a little blush for rosier looking cheeks.

Maybe your parents think you might wear too much and then start acting werid ?

Makeup is not a big deal, and should definitely not be embarrassed to tell her lol

when your mom puts on makeup look at how she puts it on and say "ooh thats pretty mom can I try some?" like if she's putting on lipgloss or mascara because its your first time wearing makeup and you should start with mascara and lipgloss only.

this is how i did it and in the end i found out i was alowed wear makeup all this time i just never asked how to put it on!!!!!!!!!   so this is what you do if you see your mom doing it just be like can i try some of that mom? it looks really great on you!!!! or if your at the store make some excuse to zoom thru the makeup aisle find the thing you want to get and be like hey mom whats this? and shell be like its foundation or blush or mascara or something and be like could i try it? it looks really cool and its on so many $$$??????? and shell be bound to say yes!!!!!!!! but seriously depending on your guyses age you should start out with only mascara (possibly clear) and lip gloss. i started wearing lip gloss when i was like 5 and then i moved onto mascara in 5th and  6th grade and then concealer and stuff in 7th. so ya she should only wear mascara and lip gloss depending on your age and then move onto bigger stuff. but remember tell her to start out slow and move on one thing at a time dont just ask your mom for a whole load of makeup  at one time cuz then shell get shocked and say no. and whatever you do  DO NOT say but everyone else is wearing it!!!!!! cuz then your mom will tell ther mom and it will be a big mess and everyone will get mad and youll never get to wear makeup!!!!!!!!

Um, that's not really a tough question. Just tell her! To me, it doesn't seem like a big deal wearing makeup. I can't really answer this question well because of the little detail you have given, however, I will try my best.

If your friend has acne she could say to her mother that she is embarrassed by it and really wants to cover it up with some concealer or foundation.

She could say that she wants to change her appearance and improve it by wearing makeup.

If her mom doesn't go for these reasons, she could give her a real heartfelt speech about her confidence being low because she doesn't feel pretty, and say that makeup would make all the difference. And if your friend really does feel this way, makeup actually does make all the difference.

well just calmly say mom i would like to start wearing make up. an see what she says your friend should not get bright stuff at first get natural colors don't over do it

Ask her to help you pick out some make up.

Well for starters its not about telling her ... you need to ask her if you can start wearing makeup. Start simple  and then wait a few months and ask about other makeup items.
