How should i throw a great party ?

Im graduating from high school this year and heading off to college. When the first semester comes around , me and my friend are planning to throw a party at this apartment wer'e about to live in next to campus. The only problems are , we never thrown a party before and besides music , we dont know what else we should have for entertainment . Any suggestions ?

I agree with domino, it seems that a theme really sets the tone of the party.  You can make it as outrageous or as simple as you like.  Follow that up with great food, drinks, and friends and you are on you way to one great night to remember.  Enjoy!
