  1. well

there is really no way 2 train i think... volleyball just comes natural 2 me so i dont need 2 train lol sorry

  2. Just Run, ALOT.....that will help your endurance if you have a big wall practice setting to yourself back and forth....how you set is act like your holding a 2 liter of pop above your forehead thrust your fingers out and that is how you set, its more difficult than that but it just takes practice. Passing,  just make sure your platform is flat so that you can give the ball direction. Never roll back on your feet make sure that your always on your tippy toes and low to the ground in a receiving posistion. Hitting just start with your right foot, take one big step with your right foot then your left foot then a quick right left to align yourself with the ball thrust yourself up and swing with everything you have. I serve the same way pretty much i step with my right foot throw the ball up and hit as hard as i can.

  3. My daughter just made the 7th grade volleyball team and she'd never played before (including intramural). During the 4-day tryout her coach said that out of 30 girls, it was obvious some of them had played before, while others had potential.

In the 7th grade they're looking for players to groom for high school teams, not pros. Nevertheless, we watched volleyball on our cable station's "Sportskool On Demand" (where they teach about specific sports). My daughter was discouraged because we found this station on the first day of her tryout, and she didn't know how to serve overhand, and it was too late to practice.

    Still, she made the team.

Be confident, try your best, and the rest will follow.

  4. Well i just had try outs and they made us run alot.  Thats really important in volleyball. So run around the block everyday and do crunches alot. Planks. LUNGES definently.

  5. For just a middle school season its girls just learning how to play the game and its not as competetive as a high school level. But if you want to prepare yourself preseason, you can always do passing, setting, and serving with yourself in the back yard. Over the summer you can do camps that just get you ready for a season to start, and you want to be in shape so you can get to the balls, so start running for a few minutes every few days.

  6. when i tried out this year, she wanted us to run to see how far we can get through games so we won't get tired...

practice bumping, setting, spiking, and over-hand served

thats what we had to do.

  7. i just finished out my 8Th grade volleyball year.

if you can do jump boxes where you get a wooden stand almost put it against the wall and jump up and down on that continuously, it actually helps.

do a lot of running. try to build up your legs as much as you can since your in defense stance 90% of the time.

and try to build up your upper body strength by lifting a little, doing push ups etc. upper body strength will help in hitting and serving

and just try to stay in shape volleyball's a tough sport you need all the stamina you can get.

    stay calm whenever you play

be calm when you serve, when you pass, and when you set.

but whenever you hit, be the most aggressive player on the court.

    and good luck:]
