How should i use these words??

if somebody suffers a loss of memory and cant remember things clearly. can i say that he gets amnesia? or he has amnesia? or he suffers amnesia?

i just feel that suffer is a BIG word to describe this kind of situation, can i use have and get here?

  1. I would say suffers if it were me. He suffers from amnesia. I can see where your coming from that its kinna over the top, but people say "he is suffering form the cold," right?

    You could use he has amnesia if you wish. but I wouldn't use "gets" Doesn't sound right.


  2. Brain cramp is what I prefer.  Has he been diagnosed with amnesia?

  3. it could be used like he suffers from amnesia or he has amnesia.
