i have really long hair (it's just a little longer than my mid back) and was just wondering how to wear it when i run. i run cross country and track, so i run a lot. i usually wear it in a high pony tail. i was thinking about getting a couple of inches off, maybe that will help. but just wondering what is the best way to wear long hair when running. i run distance, if that helps. the 4x4 relay is the only speed event that i do. but i mainly focus on the 1600, the 3200, and the 800. Thank you!!!!!

  1. Way to go I run the 3200, and ocassionally the 1600 and 800.  I find it easy for me to wear it in a bun.  It bugs me when there is hair rubbing on my neck

  2. Pony tail or bun works well. I once tried running with untied hair, yuck!

  3. i usually wear my hair in a ponytail or a bun

  4. don't wear it in a bun if you're like me it will come undone, especially with the weight of long hair.  i would say wear it in one or two braids.

  5. just tie it in a bun, tight to were it will hold but not to tight to were it will hurt

  6. Try a really right bun on the top of your head. Shuzz (spelling?) like we showed you in Science that day! Haha, but omg you would look cute with a few inches off but make sure that's what you want to do!!!

  7. Yeah, I have the same problem. Don't wear it in a bun whatever you do, the weight of your hair will make it come undone and that is what you DON'T want while you're running. I found that two, regular braids are the best b/c the weight is dispursed and they're low on my back. You can tie them together if their bouncing around bothers you.

  8. for speed wear it in a high pony tail, or really really tight bun but make sure it doesn't fall out

but for distance a really low pony tail and braids, or a really low bun hope this helps

  9. i'd wear my hair in a bun or a high ponytail. then u can put a headband in so u can keep stray hairs out of your face better. hope it helps! =]

  10. French braid should help it from becoming tangled and "swinging around."
