i dont think its fair for a doctor's receptionist to voice out loud all your medical info in a crowded medical office so all other patients thats waitin can hear it also the other nurses and and receptionist, i recently went to the dentist, to get some work done before getting it done this women had my xray sheet held up lookin at it before all other patients, telling out loud i mean very loud what teeth needs to be done, and how much the proceedures were going to cost then ask me can i afford that, i was so embaressed, thats my privacy and dont wont everyone knowing my business, i never told her i could not afford the dental work she just said it after giving me estimates gosh is that right? she talk so loud, its like really annoying she tells all ur details and everything some patients were even laughing is that right for receptionist to tell all ur business in front of everyone like that? the other insurance receptionist was talking very very low tones with her patients whats wrong with that women i felt like slapping the xxxx out of her and makes me feel not to even go to the dentist office. i have another appointment next week how should i handle it ? should i be rude are what? as she so rude to me...

  1. You should speak to your dentist and let him/her know that this situation made you uncomfortable and that you would prefer to have any further discussions of this kind in private.  They can't fix a problem if they don't know about it.  I'm sure your dentist will see to it that in the future they call you back to discuss your procedures and payment arrangements.  Good Luck!

  2. If you like that dentist--i would complain to him/her.  If not--file a complaint so it does not happen to others and find another dentist.
