Question:

How should my buzz cut be done?

I really love how buzz cuts look on guys so I decided to get on earlier this summer, I got a number 1 all over. At the barber it looked good but after I showered a lot of it came out from the scalp and there were a lot of bald spots. It was really thin after this and looked shorter than it really was.

Now it has grown out and I want to get another buzz cut before school, but I don't want it to look really thin. Even now when I wet my hair you can still see a lot of my scalp. A number 1 was a little short for my liking so I was thinking one or two sizes longer, but I don't want a buzz cut if you're going to see too much of my scalp. Is there anything I can do to make it look thicker, because I really want one?

  1. If you live near a military base, there should be plenty of places that can give you a good buzz cut.

  2. ummmm i would say get a 3 first then a 2- better to stay longer first then if its too long they can cut more off- but a buzz cut is suppose to b low cut so u can see the scalp

  3. That happened because when you get a short buzz cut tiny bits of hair get stock in between what ever hair is left on your head and the only way to remove them is to shower. May be you could try another barber shop (old fashion style) to get better results. By definition a buzz cut is a short even cut and unless you have very thick hair your scalp will always show up (mostly when wet) more or less depending on the length you choose. There is nothing you can do to make it thicker but if you really want one i think a N0 2 is a good compromise. Also when people see a buzz cut they expect to see some skin underneath. A good sun tan helps too.
