How should my cross country shoes be chosen by fit?

ok, when i buy new cross country shoes, should there be any space for my toes? or should there be a certain amount of space? please tell me, cus my old cross country shoes have no space for my feet. so please help

  1. Running shoes and especially racing shoes should be a tight fit, but not hurt  your feet.

    So the amount of room for your toes depends on you and how the shoe fits.

    You want a racing shoe to fit like a glove and not slip, but it should not hurt  your feet.

It tells you how the shoe should be fitting in all the different places around your foot as well as stating what type of shoes are good for each different type of sports. Strongly suggest using this site...has helped me decided on many types of shoes that have been a great success.
