I have 4 speakers and My room is approximately 13 feet by 13 feet.

here is a diagram

____________

I I I_BS_I

I C I B I I

I___I I I

I I___ I I

I___ I__

I_T_I__________I

B is my bed

C is my computer/ desktop

BS is my bookshelf

and T is my Television, also where my receiver for my speakers are.

That indent in the bottom right corner is the door.

Where would you reccomend putting the speakers?

Also how high?

My room is about 10 feet tall

Thanks

  1. I would say place one right over your bed, and another in the opposite corner (somewhere around the door) that way the sound wont be all from one side of the room. It also will project across the room better.

I would put them as high as possible and angled at a slight downslope.

    :)

  2. Whatever you do make sure that at least two of the speakers are on either side of the TV.  TV sound should come from the direction of the TV.  Those two speakers should dominate loudness wise and should be placed at a "ear level" height if possible.  The two rear speakers are less important.  Maybe put those on either side of the BS.

Have fun and experiment!  There really is no wrong way to do this as long as you can hear the TV and you are happy with the sound.
