  1. really no matter what you do you are going to hurt your ears playing loud music but believe it or not it not really bass that causes hearing damage it is the HI frequency's  cause the fibers in the ear that hear the hi freg are more brittle than the fiber that hear low freg the only reason I know this is I saw a show on TLC about the human body a couple of months ago.

  2. the bass should allways be lower then other settings,

  3. well you can play your music as loud as your stereo can go on any car because it has a safety cut off to where it cant get any louder so you dont go deaf. if you modify your system such as subs amp or a new deck then you might have to worry but depending on the decibels given off by your stock system at max power will give you how long you should listen to it at full capacity id say no longer than 30 minutes full blast if your an adult on a stock system and treble and bass to not hurt your ears at at highest volume should be turned all the way down or just a low level but in my opinion that makes the music sound bad also depends on what you listen to.
