My twin sister & I turn 25 on Aug. 25, which is a Monday. Sadly, we're not close, so I'll be spending the day alone. Plus, we live in 2 different states. I don't even know where she lives.

But anyway, I have my college degree already, & I'm sad because swimming is 1 of my fav. activities, & the pool will be closed, & it's the 1st day of school for k-12 & college here in North TX. The buses are limited, & I have no transportation. Not even to the movies.

I wonder what I can do to make this lame @$$ Monday VERY special. I'm gonna be 25. What low-cost or free ideas do you have? I don't want to stay (punished) @ home all day.

  1. Why don't you do what the Queen of England does.... you accept best wishes for your 25th birthday on Monday.. but you have a party the weekend after.. the coming weekend.. then you can invite friends and go to the pool and you have Saturday and Sunday off and so will all of your friends.. the Queen's real birthday is in April.  she celebrates in June.. the parade. of course. they rely on good weather and there is a lot of rain in Britain in April so she waits until June every year. you only need to wait.. until the weekend and can make plans.. and make arrangements.. think of how you want to celebrate at the weekend but invite your friends weeks before. I would take the Monday to think out some plans what you want to do at the coming weekend when all your friends are there.. and you have some more days when you know you are 25 but you  actually celebrate on the Saturday.. so you got 5 more days before your actual 25th birthday celebration.. I would do that. I always used to celebrate at the weekends.. as nobody has time during the week. but you could go have a facial done, get your hair done on that Monday.. you could go window shopping.. you could read a favourite book, listen to nice music, go for a coffee...  go to a gym, do something creative..I have to rely on buses also... too bad that you can't even celebrate your 25th birthday with your twin.. and don't know even where she lives.. you should try to find out.. after all you are closer than blood relatives you are twins.. you should try to get along.. things can change over the years.. maybe you both get along better now than you did in the past..  now that you will both be 25... xx

  2. I would spend my day trying to find my twin sister and making amends.

  3. Celebrate your birthday a few days before the actual date.  That way there will be more things to do.

By the way, if having a boring birthday is your greatest problem, you've got no problems compared to the rest of us.
